'Doorway' was filmed on the lands of the Bunurong people and I wish to acknowledge them as Traditional Owners. I would also like to pay my respects to their Elders, past and present, and Aboriginal Elders of other communities .

Mady is a young woman, lost in her thoughts making dinner after a long day at work.

She is pulled from this trance when she hears a sound somewhere deep in her home.

She freezes, suddenly in the moment. Scared to move, she looks down the hallway to her right.

"Set in an all too familiar setting of a quiet house at night, Doorway is a wordless micro short exploring everyday fears. Made after Road to Saturn, Doorway was a back to basic's experiment in visual storytelling for me aimed at exploring the common fear of intruders in the home, the film asking the question 'Are we ever truly alone?"
